County Line Road Bridge Replacement Project Begins Thursday

PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. (W1N) — A 1.5-mile section of County Line Road will be closed for several months starting this week for a bridge replacement project.

Crews will close the County Line Road bridge over Dicks Creek on Thursday, October 3. The closure will impact County Line Road between East Ridgely Road and Fry Road/NW 188th Street.

The Platte County Commission awarded a contract for the bridge replacement to T&B Trucking and Excavating last month. The county will pay just over $1 million to replace the one-lane bridge.

The new bridge is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

As part of the contract, another bridge on County Line Road over Grove Creek, east of Edgerton, will also be replaced. A start date for that portion of the project has not been announced.
