WESTON, Mo. (W1N) — Weston’s Applefest returns for its 36th year, celebrating the harvest season with vendors, live music, and apple-themed activities.
The two-day festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Festivities kick off with a parade down Main Street at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
Visitors can enjoy apple butter demonstrations, children’s games, and apple treats, including the popular apple dumplings at the Christian Church on Washington Street. This year’s event expands beyond Main Street, featuring two dozen new artisan booths in O’Malley’s parking lot.
Attendees can pay to park at the end of Main Street or West Platte School District. Parking is also available at the Historic Weston Orchard & Vineyard and the Baptist Church. Some residents may offer yard parking.
The City Hall parking lot will be reserved for vendors, merchants, and Main Street residents with a parking permit.
The Thomas Street parking lot closed Tuesday ahead of the festival, and some downtown streets will be closed starting Friday evening. Numerous no-parking areas will be in effect on streets that typically allow on-street parking.
