Crews will close the northbound lanes beginning at 4 a.m. Monday, October 7, through 4 a.m. Friday, October 11, to paint the bridge structure. A detour will direct traffic onto I-229 at Exit 43, the same route used earlier this summer.
The southbound lanes are scheduled to close the following week, from 4 a.m. Monday, October 14, through 4 a.m. Friday, October 18, for further painting. Southbound traffic will also be directed onto I-229.
Local traffic will not be able to access I-29 at the following exits:
Northbound:
• Frederick Avenue (Missouri Route 6) – Exit 47
• U.S. Route 36 – Exits 46A & 46B
The project is expected to be completed in a few weeks.
